We are excited to reveal a new user experience in TADS for school administrators as well as parents/guardians! Released today:
- School Administratorswill see improved styling on all pages as we aim for consistency across our platform. This is a purely cosmetic change and should not impact functionality on any pages.
- Parents/Guardianswill see a completely refreshed Admissions Application when applying to a school, complete with a progress bar, fewer clicks, and an improved UI experience. For a preview of the new process, click here or read our release notes further below!
School Administrators
For school administrators, we have added basic styling - such as header sizes, fonts, table formats, L-bar - across the entire site, for all users. These are broad, programmatic updates to establish a common design standard across all pages.
Here is a sample of the updated design for school administrators:

Parent Experience
Admissions Application Overhaul
Our update to TADS Admissions completely overhauls the process for household users completing the Admissions Application. Parents/Guardians filling out the application will now have a more modern, consistent, and intuitive application experience. We'll be releasing overhauls of our other TADS modules over the coming months as well.
Admissions Application Updates
The following details how the application experience has changed:
- We’ve added a progress bar across all pages of the application, giving users an indication of where they are in the process.

- The Applications page has been updated to give more clarity on various functions like the PDF download and viewing the details of completed applications.

- School selection has been updated with better defaulting behavior for applying siblings to a school. School links to the application are unchanged and will continue to bypass this step.
- Student selection is largely unchanged but follows the new styling standards
- The Student Information section has been heavily updated, consolidating the supplemental questions into one page, adding collapsible sections, section completion indicators in the section headings, and clearer validation for required fields.

- Household pages have been cleaned up with a clearer and more intuitive interface, fewer clicks to add and review household information, and fewer page loads with the supplemental section consolidated onto the household page.

- The Supplemental Questions page has been updated with collapsible section headings for each question group, offering more manageable, less daunting feel for schools with lengthy applications.

The payment pages have been heavily updated, consolidating three different pages (the billing account information/terms and conditions page, the payment information page, and the final review page) into one page to reduce clicks and page loads. As with other pages, each section on the page has a collapsible heading.
