International Currency Questions
A set of questions related to international income have been added to the application under Section 6: Basic Tax Information. These questions will appear if the Country listed for the primary parent/guardian is not “United States”. These include:
  • Clear language about expected responses to these questions.
  • A stock list of common international currencies, based on our most-represented international applicants.
  • An “Other” option to be used in the case a family’s standard unit of currency does not appear on the stock list.
  • A clear question about which exchange rate is being used to convert to USD. This is important because exchange rates generally change daily.

Bulk Updates on the Applicants Page are Here!
We have added the ability to update multiple applicant records in the following ways:

: Locks all selected applications, preventing any edits the family makes to their application to not over-write any School Revisions made to the Family Contribution Worksheet (FCW).
  • Unlock Applications
: Unlocks all selected applications, allowing any edits the family makes to their application to over-write any School Revisions made to the Family Contribution Worksheet (FCW).
  • Update Enrollment Status
: Changes the Admission/Enrollment Status for all selected applicants.
  • Update Folder Status
: Changes the Folder Status for all selected applicants.

Easy access to Award Letters
For any Mass Email sent as an Award Letter, the
Mass Email Summary
sub-section of the
Student Folder Summary
page will feature a new Award Letter (award ribbon) icon, and any labeled emails can now be either (1) downloaded (printed) as a PDF copy for your records OR (2) re-sent to only that family, specific to that applicant. Any Award Letter copy, whether downloaded or re-sent will also feature any applicant-specific information, such as: Name, Grant Awarded, and PFS ID. This saves time finding the correct version for a specific applicant:

Global USE button on the NAIS Methodology Family Contribution Worksheet (FCW)
This new button will allow admins to copy ALL verified figures from a given Tax Year.
image
NOTE
: Because the Business Section has a high variability of scenarios (single-business vs. multi-business, for example), this global
USE
button will not copy any figures found in there. Instead, we encourage admins to confirm and update each business via
Business Worksheets
(we have added a reminder to the pop-up that appears to allow confirmation to save new revisions.

The following improvements were released to the Family Portal today, October 29, 2025:
  • Because not all applicants for financial aid have a Social Security Number (SSN), we have added a checkbox to either show or hide the question asking for the
Last 4 digits of the SSN
. By default, the box is checked, but can be unchecked in cases where the applicant does not have an SSN, such as for international students.
image
  • We used to have several informational pages before each section of the application, specifically designed to give families lists of documents to reference, as well as basic tips for completing the upcoming set of questions. Because our overall goal is to accelerate the application process for families and most document-related questions are completed via the
    Easy Apply
IRS integration, we have removed all unnecessary pages and instead placed all relevant text at the top of its corresponding application section:

This removes up to eight (8) clicks and reduces approximately 80% of the text for families to read.
The following improvements were released to the
Admin Portal
:
  • When exporting data, not all dates were formatted correctly. This has been addressed, and dates now remain consistent with in-product date formatting when exported.
  • For
    TADS Methodology users
, we added several features to the
    Applicants
tab (these features were already in place for NAIS Methodology users):
  1. Updated labels for some Advanced Filters
  2. An additional Advanced Filter,
    PFS ID
, as well as a corresponding column in the table below, giving you another option to search specific applicants
  3. The ability to edit the
    Admission/Enrollment Status
from the Applicants table, removing the need to navigate to each individual Student Folder to update this status
