Bug Fixes
Resolved event registration time slot discrepancy
Fixed an issue where the event time displayed in Ravenna Hub could differ from the time shown in the registration confirmation and reminder emails. Event time slots are now displayed consistently across Hub and all event-related communications.
Improved form auto-save behavior with validation settings
Fixed an issue where forms with both
minimum word count
and
maximum character length
enabled did not consistently recognize updated responses in real time. In some cases, users needed to refresh the page before validation updated and the form could be submitted. Form validation and auto-save now update correctly without requiring a page refresh.
Corrected messaging for “Remain in Waitpool” soft decision flow
Fixed an issue where families selecting the
“Remain in Waitpool”
option could incorrectly see a confirmation message indicating they had accepted an offer. This occurred in certain scenarios when a student had multiple decisions. Messaging now correctly reflects the selected waitpool action to reduce confusion for families.
Improved Funnel Statistics Year-to-Date Reporting
Resolved discrepancies between Dashboard metrics and Funnel Statistics Year-to-Date data. Reporting now aligns consistently across visual charts, hover states, and category breakdowns.
Improved SAO Import – Applying to Grade Population
Fixed an issue where the “Applying to Grade” field did not consistently populate on certain internal forms when importing SAO applicant records. Data now carries through correctly during the import process.
Improved SAO Import – Citizenship Field Retention
Resolved an issue where manually entered citizenship information could be overwritten or inconsistently retained following SAO file synchronization. Citizenship data now persists correctly.
Updated Interviewer Tab Visibility for Premium Schools
Fixed an issue where interviewers at premium subscription schools could see an inactive “Emails” tab that generated an error. The tab is now hidden based on role and subscription level to ensure a streamlined experience.
Removed “Request Account” Link from ADMIT Login Page
Removed an outdated “Request Account” link that redirected users incorrectly. This prevents confusion and unintended access attempts.
Improved application fee payment error handling
Resolved an issue where some families received a misleading system error message when attempting to pay and submit an application. The messaging now more accurately reflects payment-related validation errors.
Improved Hub login reliability
Resolved an issue impacting a small number of families who encountered an error when attempting to log into Ravenna Hub, including login attempts initiated via Admit.
Resolved student profile access control issue
Fixed an issue that caused incorrect access behavior on certain student profile pages. Access controls have been corrected to ensure users only see information appropriate to their role and permissions.
Enhanced student profile access controls
Implemented updates to further tighten access permissions on student profile pages. These changes ensure role-based visibility is enforced consistently and strengthen overall access control safeguards.
Event Registration Queue Update
Resolved an issue where withdrawing and re-registering for the same event did not properly update the Event Registration Queue or Event tab. Event status now updates correctly across Hub and Admit.
Education History – State Filter
Resolved an issue where the state filter was not properly applied when searching for schools in Education History. School search results now correctly respect the selected state.
Event Registration Stability
Fixed an issue impacting event registration processing when time slots were involved. Registration and related email processing now function reliably without errors.

✨ Ravenna December 2025 W2 Release

Highlights You’ll Love
We’ve focused this release on making your everyday workflows smoother, clearer, and more connected. Here’s what just rolled out today:
Ravenna Admit - Event Management
  • See Who’s Coming
    - Open House and Tour rosters now show the actual names of registered attendees - not just a headcount. No more guessing who’s on the list.
  • Cleaner Role Assignments
    - Dropdown menus for Event Contacts and Interviewers now only display active users. This prevents confusion and ensures you’re assigning roles to the right people.
  • Reliable Status Updates
    - When an attendee’s status changes (e.g., from “attended” to “withdrawn”), the event page updates immediately. Your records stay accurate and trustworthy.
Ravenna Admit - Communication
  • Email Families Without Leaving Admit
    - Interviewers can now send emails directly from the applicant’s profile when enabled by the school. Messages are logged automatically, keeping all communication in one place for easy reference.
Ravenna Admit - Usability & Polish
  • Bulk Enrollment Looks Better
    - The bulk enrollment wizard now displays correctly styled screens for a smoother experience.
  • Reports That Behave
    - Minor fixes ensure filters reset properly and exports work as expected - so reporting feels effortless.
  • Under-the-Hood Enhancements
    - We’ve upgraded core frameworks and applied security patches to keep Ravenna modern, secure, and ready for future improvements. You won’t see these changes, but you’ll feel the stability.
Ravenna Admit - Event Management
Inactive User Cleanup:
Inactive user accounts will no longer appear in dropdown menus for Event Contacts or Interviewers. This ensures that only active users can be selected for event roles, preventing confusion when scheduling events.
Accurate Attendee Counts:
Fixed an issue that occasionally caused the attendee count to be off by one in event rosters. The attendee totals on event pages now correctly reflect the actual number of attendees (no more phantom entries).
Ravenna Admit - Reporting
Minor Fixes in Reports:
Addressed a couple of minor issues in the Reports section. For example, the “Reset Filters” button now works reliably without jumping to a different report, and the “Export List” button displays with proper styling.
Family Portal (Ravenna Hub)
- Recent Improvements (Already Live):
Delegate Form Resend Disabled:
Once a delegated form has been submitted by a delegate, the “Resend” button is now disabled for the parent. This change (already live) prevents parents from unintentionally sending duplicate requests for forms that have been completed, reducing confusion and support inquiries.
Event Registration Stability:
A fix has been applied to resolve an error that could occur during event sign-up. Families should no longer encounter a 500 error when registering for an event on Ravenna Hub (this fix was deployed prior to the upcoming release).
Smarter Dashboard and Payments
  • Pay event fees directly from your Dashboard and move through checkout without extra steps
  • Alerts clear on their own after a successful payment
  • Events appear in date order and search handles punctuation in names
Cleaner Directory and Navigation
  • Routes are tidied ahead of the Directory launch which reduces dead links
  • Event cards show a Location field
  • Explore can show the prior season when your school accepts last-year applicants
Better Wizard and Registration
  • Removing a guardian no longer creates errors or ghost cards
  • Records for future seasons save and display correctly
  • Registration deadlines and grade order display as expected
  • A minimum attendee count of one prevents empty registrations
Improved Authentication and UI
  • Password reset works end-to-end
Trustworthy Data and Reporting
  • Application types sort by date
  • Data Explorer includes an ISEE taken filter
  • Seat counts show 0 for empty values
  • Funnel statistics exclude hidden applicants
Under the Hood
  • Rails framework upgraded for stability and security
  • Routing and preview links are fixed
  • Activity logs and visibility flags behave as intended
We brought a set of meaningful updates to the Ravenna Hub with a redesigned Dashboard. Families now manage more of their journey in one place, and schools get cleaner data with fewer back-and-forth requests.
screencapture-qa-ravenna-hub-2025-10-30-17_02_44
The new Dashboard for families
We rebuilt the Dashboard so it becomes the primary place for families to act and to track progress. This shift supports a true self-service model and reduces routine calls to your team.
Do more without leaving the Dashboard
Families can pay application and event fees directly from the Dashboard. Payment alerts clear on their own after a successful checkout, so there is less confusion.
Edit or withdraw event registrations
Parents can change plans on their own and the system updates in real time. Your team spends less time on simple edits.
Decisions stay consistent
When a family accepts an offer at one school, outstanding offers at other schools are declined automatically. Enrollment reporting stays accurate without manual cleanup.
Why this matters
Families can now move faster because key tasks sit in one place. Schools can expect to see fewer tickets, cleaner funnels, and spend less time on manual updates.
A friendlier School Directory
  • Validation you can trust.
    Registrations respect grade restrictions.
  • Search that feels right.
A city filter, a cleaner layout, and grades that appear in the correct order.
  • Links that land where they should.
Buttons and deep links now open the new Directory.
Smoother Wizards
  • Grade choices show up, remain sorted, and persist into ADMIT.
  • Schools get notified right away whether a record is new or already exists.
A tidier Dashboard and event flow
  • You can edit or withdraw event sign-ups from your Dashboard.
  • The edit dialog is cleaner and broken icons are gone.
  • Accepting one offer will decline the rest so decisions stay consistent.
Payment surfaces and other small wins
  • A pay form appears when an event has a fee.
  • The Apply button matches visibility settings.
  • Tooltip copy, layout issues, and middleware behavior received needed polish.
We’re excited to share that a new Ravenna Hub Dashboard is launching
NEXT WEEK!
This redesigned experience makes it easier than ever for families to stay organized and connected — all in one place.
Here’s what’s new:
  • Unified View:
Quickly see your students, applications, and events at a glance.
  • Favorites:
Easily access your favorite schools and jump right into their pages.
  • Upcoming Events:
View and manage important dates, reminders, and registrations.
  • Student Overview:
Add or edit student profiles and monitor each student’s progress.
  • Cleaner Design:
Simplified layout and intuitive navigation for a smoother experience on any device.
This update is part of our ongoing effort to modernize the Ravenna experience — helping families engage with schools more easily and confidently.
